Thoughts on HomeSwimmer?

We've been looking at purchasing a HomeSwimmer system to be able to do stationary exercise swimming in our pool. Has anyone had any experience with it? http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000KD9H5G ... raddons-20

I've been trying to figure out how the bottom piece that goes in the water works, and whether there's any danger it will damage the vinyl liner.

Haven't used it or seen it before. I wonder if one could use it outside the pool to tether a 5 year-old in place for a period of time?

If you decide to get this please post a review here. It looks interesting but I wonder how it fits with the coved bottom of an AGP. You could always place some foam matting under it to protect the liner, a piece of an old yoga mat or something.

Has there been any updates on this issue? I was also planning on purchasing the Home Swimmer and have a vinyl sided pool. I wanted to make sure I was saving money on a device only to have to pay to repair my liner.
