Need Repair Help

Hi All...Shot a rock through my AGP yesterday with the lawn mower. Put a hole in the outside wall and the liner and of course the pool is peeing out water.

I have been told by some AGP experts that I need to purchase a new pool this can't be repaired.

I have been told by others to just rivet a patch of aluminum on the inside of the wall, put in new liner and voila.

Pool is a Johnny Weismuller aluminum 18' round that is 5 years old.

What say you guys? Help please.

Welcome to TFP!

I'd think it would be fairly easy to patch. You just need to make sure the patch on the metal is smooth so it doesn't damage the liner. You can probably epoxy something in there to avoid any sharp rivets.

If you drop the water to a few inches below the hole, you should be able to get behind the liner to work on it.
