Help with my pool !!!

I accidentally over filled my pool with water.
I did it by forgetting the water on while I left the house for 3 hours.

I then backwashed my DE filter and lowered the water to 1 inch below the skimmers max line (so the skimmers will actually be effective). Then I put my DE to normal (not backwash) amd I got tons of bubble going via my pipes and then some white thing that spread across my pool.
I wonder what is this white thing ? Is it tiny bubbles? Is it DE powder ?

For now what I did was to recharge the DE and I will run the filter all night long (now it is 8:30pm here).

Any suggestions what I need to do in order to get rid of this white thing in my water ?

ok im not sure but it may be a foam, are you guys still swimming??

i remember late in the season of my pool that if we splashed enough we would create foam and the foam would leave a white resadue.
