Had a problem with sand coming through jets and piling up in my pool. Also had a problem keeping water from turning green. We checked the laterals and found some appeared cracked so we replaced all ten. After vacuuming the pool, finally got it clear. We now have the same problem again with sand coming into the pool from the filter and it has turned green again (even though we kept a close eye on chemical levels). Obviously, the filter is not doing its job properly. Before I go out and buy a new filter, is this problem repairable? After looking at a drawing of the filter, could the problem be the bottom screen (looks like a lateral)?
