Just wanted to jump in here and start a new thread. We signed contract yesterday with a pool builder and will begin digging tomorrow (hopefully).

Some Basics
36x16 Free Form Pool
Wet Edge Pebble (still deciding on Color)

Exciting time, but I'm sure stressful as well.
Should look great in your yard, I notice you have a fair sized tree back in the corner and that your dealing with a slope. What are you planning to do with the side cut on the hill once the pool is done? How will the tree roots impact those plans?

The next most exciting day will be your first swim. Even though there will be other smaller milestones, the most important one is that first swim. Make sure to set up a camera for that. My wife and I did for our first swim yesterday. You will love it.

I'm a newbie to the world of pools. So I've got to ask because I've seen them in a number of pool builds now. What's the piping for in the bottom of your pool? Cleaning system?

We are in the metro Atlanta area as well and are in the final stages of deciding on our pool builder. If you don't mind me asking, who did you use and were you happy with them?
