Was thinking of automating my spa by installing separate pumps for bleach and muriatic acid. Both of these would be added to the return line after the heater I'm assuming. Now, does it matter which order they are put in, and do they have to be a certain distance apart?

There has been some discussion about that and it's best if you don't inject them at the same time. However, if you're injecting them over several hours you're most likely not adding enough of either to cause a problem. I would however, separate the injection points as far apart as I could if you want to inject them at the same time.
