Pool calculator vs. chlorine/CYA chart

I am, hopefully, near the end of a tiresome, expensive shock cycle due to high CYA, unmeasurable chlorine, etc., etc. I find the pool calculator to be very accurate regarding chlorine dosing/measured FC result.

But, I notice a significant difference between the recommended FC target and shock levels using the pool calculator and the chlorine/CYA chart, based on my data input.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Either number, or anything in between will do. The Pool Calculator aims for something close to the lowest level that will work, while the Pool School numbers aim for results that are quicker.
