[attachment=2:2xewafbz]photo 1-1.JPG[/attachment:2xewafbz]Okay, we are almost done with our AGP summer project! Here are the pics from the deck build. I ordered everything from National Pool Wholesalers and so far have been very happy with everything I have. Here are the pics of the deck build. The next step is the Deck Restore texturized deck finish. We should do all of that this weekend.

This is what we felt like when the last nail went in. My husband did all of the work, himself, and it was an exhausting week, but is has been great since the deck has been up!

The slide came off of the kids play set that they never play with and we used the tubing off of the inflatable slide from a couple of summers ago. We are planning an addition to the backside of the slide to create a platform so that it is a little more safe for the kids to climb onto. So far all the kids have done okay as it is, but we want to have it looking really nice and "professional" like the deck.

We did not do the install of the pool ourselves. We had a company come in and do that. It is backfilled about 21/2 feet up the high side and there is a gap under the deck on that side.

Looks great. I wish we were at that stage.

Did you do the install yourselves? Did you backfill right up next to the pool on the high side or is there a gap for the deck posts?

You can see in the first pic on the thread, how much backfill there is. It is a fairly good angle and you can tell how high up the side the backfill comes. We live about 2 miles from a granite quarry, hence all of the granite 57 stone. :-D
