Return Eye, How are you directing yours.

How are you directing your return eye?

1-pointing up to make waves in your water?
2-pointing down a little to make little ripples?
3-pointing down to clear the bottom with no top water movement?

I was just wondering if there was a right or wrong way. I'm sure it would also depend on your pools shape.

Your thoughts?

I'm not sure what is right or wrong, maybe someone will come along and school us. :whip:

I change mine around some, when I'm adding bleach I first turn it a little up to be sure the bleach is mixing in with the return flow.

If I have dirt on the floor I'll turn it to the floor to mix it up to the surface.

If I am clean on the floor (most often) I point it to the right, a little up to keep the surface moving so anything that lands in the pool flows to the skimmer. Skimmer is to the left of the return.

Pretty much the same practice for me as well:
- down to the right most of the time (skimmer is to the left)
- when my daughter is swimming I'll point it up a bit to make some current
- when I add bleach I'll point it up for a bit, then move it back down before putting the solar blanket on
