I am in the process of purchasing and burying a 24' round Radiant Metric GT Pool. They are giving me a 1 HP Hayward Super Pump. The ideal location for me for the pump would be about 35 feet away from the skimmer. Will that be ok?

If possible, you might want to consider using a 1/2 HP or 3/4 HP pump instead of the 1 HP.

The 1 HP SuperPump is smaller than many other 3/4 HP or even 1/2 HP pumps so it is actually about the smallest IG pump on the market.

Sounds more like a done deal. Certainly a smaller pump might be possible but my concerns would be for the backwash requirements of the filter if any and if there would be any plans in the future for solar panels on a roof.abbysdad said:

I'd opt for the timer anyway. it's so much easier to have it start and stop automatically.
would something like the intermetic T101R3 be sufficient? I am planning on having the pump wired to 110v.
