i would like to setup a timer to run my pool pump and my swg
was looking around and found

http://swimmingpooltimeswitch.com/CD-104P.html

i dont want anything fancy
just a simple on off
with a manual override

all my stuff is 120v

now for some reason the spst and dtdt is confusing me
i know with 12v i only need a single
and a normal light switch is single pole single throw aswell

so am i right in assuming all i need is the spst setup?

does anyone know of any place to get a timer cheaper?

Here's the rundown.
SPST - Single pole, single throw - one set of contacts, on or off. (i.e. light switch)
SPDT - Single pole, double throw - two sets of contacts, one circuit, one set open when the other set is closed. (i.e high/low)
DPST - Double pole, single throw - one set of contacts on two circuits, both open or both closed at the same time. (i.e. Pump & swg control)
DPDT - Double pole, double throw - two sets of contacts on two circuits, one normally open and one normally closed on each circuit. Both circuits switched at the same time.

There are other arrangements but that should be enough to confuse you. :)

right i understand what the spdt all ment

just had a brain fart
and couldnt think of a reason why i would need anything more then a spst

ended up getting one from home depot
wired it up last night
thanks for the heads up on HD having them
