We have a 10' x 30" intex pool. We've got the hth pop pool starter kit and ph balancer. My husband is militant about how everything has to be perfect or the kids can't go swimming. We only plan to have the pool set up for a month. Does the water need to be perfect? Are there any levels that would be too dangerous to be in the water?

As long as the chlorine is under shock value and over the minimum range for your pool, and pH is between 7.2-7.8 and the water is clear you are safe to swim.
You don't want to swim when the chlorine is under the minimum range since there would be inadequate sanitizer in the pool. pH out of range can irritate eyes and skin. If the water is too cloudy to see your feet touch bottom then you may miss seeing a swimmer in trouble. The other values we test for, calcium, alkalinity, and CYA effect how a pool functions rather than the safety of the swimmers.
