i got my pool up and running
i am working on balancing the chems now
but i have a few questions

i have a speck e90-ii pump
in an 11000 gallon pool
im trying to figure out the duration of time i need it to be set too
i beleive i read it needs to be at minimal enough to pump all the water threw the filter
meaning all 11000 gallons

according to http://www.poolcenter.com/speck-E90-DS.pdf

my pump depending on the head will pump anywhere from say 60-90 gallons p min

so 11000/75 then /60 min = 2.44 hours??
so a min 3 hours say

so why is it i am reading we are pumping 8+ hours?
i understand better circulation, filtering, dispursion
but 3x as long almost??

also
on my input i have this guy
pool%20diverter.jpg

what is it?
it looks like a diverter valve
i have the 1 skimmer tho
and today while vacuming the pool (first time)
i noticed a small gaurded round cap petruding out the bottom of the pool
is this a 2nd dary input?
if it is, well, i didnt dewinterize it, everything is pumping fine and working fine, so is it possible it wasnt winterized?
how would i check?

and what would i put my diverter on?
right now i put it in the middle, so 50/50
as i have no clue what it is

also, i took out the rubber winterizing plugs in the 2 outlets into the pool, but i do not have any nozzles to put in there place? should there be any?
thank you

Your pump is probably pumping closer to 60 gpm with that setup.
One reason people run their pump longer than needed is because every pool is different and the 1 turn per day is minimum and it usually takes longer than minimum to keep it clear.

That valve is a 3-way valve and apparently it switches between the skimmer and main drain. You would run it whever you get good circulation from the skimmer and some from the MD.
