I see that you figured it out already, but for anyone else with the same question: What many of us here call a thread, the software calls a topic. So you press the "New Topic" button to start a new thread. Thread, topic, whichever.
Welcome to TFP! I started this as a new thread so people could say hello.
Also, when you are able, please post some details in the Testing the Water area about your pool parameters and recent test results and I'm sure you'll get some usefull feedback.
