I have two quick questions. While water testing a minute ago, I found my PH was in the 8.2 range.

1st Question: Would my teenage daughter and her friend covered in sunblock or tanning lotion raise PH?

2nd Question: Does Muriatic Acid go bad or weaken? I have had some since last year and it has been stored in my basement.

People swimming can cause the PH to go up because they cause aeration. Neither sun block or tanning lotion will raise PH.

Muriatic acid will last a very long time, certainly way more than a year.
