Pool/spa cleaning equip recommendations - brush/vacuum/hoses

I've got a 14.5' x 28' pool with an attached 5' x 5' spa. I'm looking at various cleaning tools to get.
I'm not quite ready for an automatic pool cleaner (kreepy krauler, barracuda, hayward, etc) due to the separate spa. Since I'll have to get manual cleaning equipment for the spa, I want to see how it goes cleaning both pool and spa manually.

I've been looking at this vacuum brush: http://www.lesliespool.com/Specials/Poo ... 20134.html
I assume this would allow me to not only brush the walls but also immediately remove the wall debris from the pool.

I've been looking at this for the bottom of the pool: http://www.amazon.com/8165-Weighted-Fle ... roduct_top

There's one skimmer in the pool. I assume that 35' of hose is best?

What do you recommend for a skimmer net?

The pool's got a Pebble Tec surface.

Comments/recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

As far as the hose goes (it's rhyme time), you can use a piece of rope or string tied to the lid of your skimmer and walk around the pool to find the longest distance and measure the string. Round up one size to make sure that you have enough hose.

(my hose is currently too short by about 3', quite frustrating)

Can't speak much on the other questions. I do know that when I use my pool brush, it makes quite a cloud if i stir anything up. I don't think that my pump could keep up with the mess that I would make.
