I have a intex SWG and when I was looking over the recommended chemicals it said that muriatic acid is better for SWG than dry acid...why? Does this mean I can't use dry acid? My pH is 7.8. Should I lower it a little or just wait for it to creep up a little more and then lower it? Thanks!!!

You can use dry acid it's just better to use muriatic because Dry acid adds sulphates. It's ok to lower it from 7.8. Lower it down to about 7.4.
