Regular white plaster vs quartz

I initially told my builder i want to go with standard white plaster, but am considering the quartz additives now. My main concern is the smoothness of the quartz. Is it rougher than standard plaster and does it really last longer than regular plaster? Thanks

Properly installed quartz is almost as smooth as plain plaster and lasts noticeably longer.

Also, will the addition of pozzolans make standard white plaster any better?
