My Jandy aquapure system is 5 years old. I'm getting a general fault/ check aquapure on my keypad readout. Is there any chance this could be the cause or an indication of my chlorine generator not producing chlorine? I've checked all my electrical connections, keeping up on chemicals and filter cleanings, cleaned the flow sensor and regularly clean the cell itself. Have scoured through the manual and I can't find a solution. Thanks.

Yes, that most likely does mean that the AquaPure is not creating chlorine. Check the AquaPure power supply to see if it is showing an error light.
