Wide mouth skimmer is leaking

We just installed our AG pool and have gotten the water deep enough to turn on the pump, but there is a leak at one corner of the skimmer where it attaches to the pool wall. I've tightened it as hard as I can and see no gaps,but it stil continues to leak.

What can i do to remedy this?

The skimmer is a wide mouth with double gasket

The easiest thing to do is lower the water level and remove and inspect the sealing surfaces and get a butterfly gasket to put it back together with. That should solve your problem.

Sorry, i believe this is a butterfly gasket. Its is all one piece, with one side in the pool and the other outside the pool wall.

We are draining the pool down to the return jet so we can remove the skimmer.

Check the liner to make sure it's not folded or wrinkled around the opening.
