I have a 16x32 inground pool about 28000 gallon and located in Arkansas. When we took the cover off the water was green but after a few days of shocking :lol: it is clear and sparkling. I do have alot of dead algae floating in the water. Is there anthing I can do to get rid of it or do I need to be patient and let it filter out. Love this website, thanks so much for helping me. Ann

Keep the water at shock level and keep the filter running 24x7.
So, your FC holds overnight and your CC is 0.5 or less? If so, you should just backwash as needed, indicated by filter pressure rise.
You can add a little DE to your filter to improve the filtering and that may help clear the water a little faster.
Clarifier is sort of a last resort. We like to make sure everything is killed and the equipment is working properly before we recommend trying it. The biggest reason is that there are as many instances of it not working as there are where it did. Granted, when it does it's pretty dramatic.
