System recommendation

Hello all. Thank you in advance for comments.

I have an 8k gal (tiny) in-ground pool with a 1.5 horse power pump / sand filter.

I am looking for salt system that will let me minimize pump run time. This is my first pool.

I have been looking at autopilot (expensive) and CompuPool, but am open to any advice that can be offered.

Welcome to TFP!

Those are both good choices as is the Aqua Trol. Your pool is small enough that nearly any unit will be fine with a short pump run time.
