Hi
Just starting up the pool with fresh tap water.
the area in the South West of England has fairly hard water with relatively high CaCo3 levels.
I have the following chemicals at my disposal
Sodium Hydrochlorite 14/15%
Dry Acid
Stabilized Chlorine Granules 55% (with built in stabilizer)
Calcium Hypoclorite Shock 65% min

Ph is 7.3
CaCO3 is 267 (Calcium hardness)
Chlorine is zero
I think we can assume CYA level is almost zero from tap water.
Water Temp is 14C (fyi it was 12C out of the tap!!)

Reading Pool School I need a week or so of stabilized chlorine to add CYA levels.
As the CYA level increases to 30-50 I should revert to Sodium Hydrochlorite.

Agree?
and thanks for your help in my 2nd season.
