Actual pool volume/gallons

I've found several sources to calculate pool volume in gallons. Seems my 15x30x4' pool equals 10,500 gallons. (??) Two questions please.

The pool wall side is 48" (4') but the actual depth is 44". do I calculate by the wall size?

According to "The Pool Calculator" my actual volume is 12,000 gallons, which figure should I use?
