Return Flange Replacement?

The plastic flange on the return of my pool cracked and about 1/4 of it fell off. The pool does not seem to be leaking now. How hard is to replace the flange without the liner moving? Am I better off replacing the flange or just leaving it? What's the best way to replace it?

Post a pic of the fitting so we can be sure we're talking about the same thing. It may not be too big a job to change it.

Thanks for the reply. I really hope this is easily replaced. I'm attaching a few photos of the flange and the piece which broke off.

Just take the screws out of that one and screw the new one on. The liner shouldn't move at all.

Bama Rambler, thanks for the help. I was able to buy a new flange at the local pool store. As you said, removing the four screws and installing the new flange was easy. The liner stayed in place. The replacement took only a few minutes and went smoothly.
