barracuda G3 comes apart

after our barracuda G3 runs for about 3 hrs, the main interior 'pipe' that screws in, near where the hose attaches, comes completely out of the housing. I pull up on the hose, and all I get at the surface is the interior 'pipe' of the unit. The main body of the unit is left at the bottom of the pool.

anyone ever had this before?

I have good suction, and good movement/pulsating on the barracuda; it just falls apart. It just started this a few days ago; no valves were altered at the pump.

I have never had that problem. You aren't missing a part are you. There is a little ring that you tighten down where the hose enters the unit. Is that tight?

this was the problem; the ring where the hose attaches was loose. Tightened it and havn't had a prob. since.

The good thing about these suction side cleaners is that they have few moving parts, if any. It's usually a fairly easy fix or simple part replacement to get them back online.
