Calcium stains or so I think

And what or how to get rid of them, the roughness was there on it but seems to have been brushed away however the stain is still there. Please help a brother out!!!

With those numbers, it's not calcium scaling.
How did you get those numbers? Test kit? Pool Store? etc?

Well, then we need to look elsewhere. You might want to run the OCLT just to be sure we're not dealing with organics.

Hold a trichlor tab on it for a few minutes to see if it lightens.

Ok, now I have a clear dot amongst my pretty tanned stairs. How to do this treatment a little broader, and use it in the shallow end as well. And maybe spot treat as need be.

If the vitamin C worked, you can do the ascorbic acid treatment to the entire pool.

Asorbic Acid Treatment, doesn't scare me but can we swim while doing so, or is that explainned in the pool school?

No, you can't swim for at least several days while doing an AA treatment.

So the treatment may need to wait for a bit then, but I would love to have this done, so I can do the borates dealio next. How many days does a aa treatment usually take???

Doing an AA treatment can be done in three days, but a week is more common.
