im filling my pool up. should i only fill it up halfway to let the liner stretch or can i just fill it all the way up. (Its J-Hook)

You want to fill it up about 8 inches, and then check that everything looks right and has gone into the correct place. If everything looks good at that point continue filling to normal swim height.
