Suplement FC w/ bleach

Hey:

I'm using Trichlor tabs because there are some left and my CYA is still so low. The FC seems to be holding around 2 using them. I'd like my FC a little higher. Is it OK to supplement with bleach to get my numbers up to 3 while I'm waiting for my CYA to go up. I am adding CYA slowly till I get to bout 40-50 ppm.

Yes.

It's not just okay, it's recommended! You need to maintain FC all the time, by whatever means.

Just don't mix the two! For example, if you are using pucks in the strainer basket, don't add the bleach there as well, pour it in front of a return jet instead.

Thank you, no, I wasn't going to mix them and yes, we have a puck in the skimmer basket and I was going to pour bleach in front of the return jet at 7:16 EST. That's one hour before sunset here.
