How to Dispose of or neutralize Wet Chlorine tablets?

I am in a quandry. Our bucket of 3 inch chlorine tablets got wet, and we don't know what to do. As soon as the lid is opened up completely, a lot of fumes escape. How do we neutralize or dispose of the tablets? Anyone we should call?

If they're not a clump, I'd wear rubber gloves and safety glasses and lay them out to dry on a surface they won't harm and allow them to dry completely. Then you could dry out the bucket and put them back in.
