Salt build up on walls?

Not sure if I have this right... Just started taking care of the pool myself. Joined TFP (awesome site!) got the test kit and things have been going well. I kind of enjoy knowing whats going on with the chemicals.

Today when I went to look at the pool I noticed what looks like salt build up on a bunch of areas along the walls of the pool.

Hoping someone can look at the pic and let me know whats going on or if this is normal. I can't ever remember seeing this but who knows.

Now i'm thinking this is calcium...

With your numbers where they are I wouldn't think it's calcium. Unless the pH got high for a while.

What does it feel like?
