Question but related to new plaster pool

Different question but related to new plaster pool. My PB is acid starting my pool and will brush it and balance it for the first two weeks. But for some reason he has installed a temporary pump running 24/7 to circulate the pool water rather than use the pool equipment on the pad. So the brushing debris stays in the pool.
Does it make any sense? Obviously it was a bit more work on his part versus just using the pad. Is there any downside or is he being extra nice to my equipment by not running highly acidic Water through it?

If you have a heater with a copper heat exchange coil, which most common heaters have, you don't want to run highly acidic water through the heater. Having some extra dust in the pool for a couple of days won't be a problem.
