The water sensor is the water temperature probe. It is installed in a hole in your PVC pipe. There is a stainless clamp around the PVC holding the sensor in place. Wires will run from the sensor to the control panel.
You should also have an an air temperature sensor. You can swap the air and water sensors and see if that clears the message. That would confirm the water temperature sensor needs to be replaced.
