How often do pool systems actually get inspected?

Since it's a closed loop system, nobody has jurisdiction over our systems here. This can be both a good, and bad thing.

Again it varies from place to place. The most common pattern is that permanent pools being installed for the first time get inspected and otherwise not. In a very few areas you have inspectors who are very aggressive and will notice and inspect even relatively minor renovations, while in many other places pools are never inspected at all.
