Hello everyone,

Once again, I'm posting some questions for salt chlorine generator owners. Since I know there are a diverse selection of scg owners, and I know everyone has an opinion, I would love to get yours. Please know that I am not looking for solicitation for Pool Pilot, and NO SLAMMING OF PRODUCTS.

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? remote display, FC sensor that works, pump always on mode

Why did you selection that system? Forum comments and system features plus in a big way the support available on line for this model (PoolSean), availability from several internet sources allowing price matches, and cell manifold concept
What features are most important to you? Cell PVC manifold for cell and detectors, salt ppm readout, digital readout, reliability, power settings

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? auto control of chlorine level, ability to bypass temp compensation
How did you previously sanitize your pool? Chlorox BBB

Which size cell did you select?
T-15-Cell

Why did you selection that system?
I went with the Totally Hayward system to get a 3 year warranty

What features are most important to you?
Integrated with controller and display, chlorine control, salt reading, temp reading, delayed start, self cleaning, cleaning reminder, error reporting.

What did you pay?
~$350. Incremental cell cost to the controller.

How did you purchase it (internet, PB, e-bay, etc)?
Wholesaler in the area.

How many gallons is your pool?
21000

What additional features would you like to see on an scg?
Automated water measurement (CL, PH, CYA, TA, CH) - jk the last three I don't think are possible.
It would be nice to be able to set the chlorine level for different water temperatures. Not just temp comp but settable temp comp.

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? Ability to set Chlorine at a set PPM as oppose to percentage.

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? repeating canuck: Ability to set chlorine at a set PPM as opposed to percentage. Also, any chem sensors (Ph, Cl, TA, etc) would be helpful.

Which size cell did you select?
Not sure, it goes up to 40,000 gallons though.

Why did you selection that system?
We, too, got the all Totally Hayward system

What features are most important to you?
The controls and remote, not having to be at the box to change settings, seeing salt level

What did you pay?
$1850 with the control box that controls the pumps, auxillary pumps, heaters, lights, etc...

How did you purchase it (internet, PB, e-bay, etc)?
PB

How many gallons is your pool?
~39,000

What additional features would you like to see on an scg?
I would also love it to display pH and the ability to set certain ppm also instead of a %.

How did you previously sanitize your pool?
This is a new pool so always the SWCG

What features are most important to you? Didn't want to deal with daily bleach handling.

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? More control over timer settings. Remember settings through a power loss. Compatible fittings!

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? This may be a stupid suggestion ... or it may be a feature that's already available but I'd love to be able to set my SWCG to maintain a given FC level. Right now I find myself adjusting the output % based on so many different variables. System running time, temp, sun etc... All It' trying to do is maintain a FC level of 5.0. I figure I should be able to tell my SWCG "5.0" and it does the rest! :-D

FC sensing for auto setting of level.

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? Ability to input an FC level, include a "dummy" pipe to be put in its place if you ever need to remove the SWCG for any period of time (I'm clueless where PVC is concerned)

customer service is second to none.

and sell it to me for $1000 installed.

What additional features would you like to see on an scg? A built in Cl and Ph meter would be cool
