changing over to salt

Hello,,,this is my first post but i have been doing a lot of reading on this site trying to learn..
I am ready to change from Baquacil to a Aqua Trol salt water system.. The first thingi am going to do
is order a water test kit,,'hope i can figure out how to use it'..my question is,,,,,do i need to kill my Baquacil first and get everything balanced out before i hook up my salt water system?..thanks

Yes, you need to go through the Baquacil to chlorine conversion first. It is best to do this before the SWG cell is installed to avoid having any baq gunk fouling the cell. You will also need to replace your filter media (sand, DE/grids, or cartridge).
