chem test. Alk question using HTH test kit

Few weeks back I switched to the BBB method and the pool looked great.

ttl A 130
ph 7.2
After closing shock I adjusted the ph to 7.5 and went to check the ttl Alk. added 5 drops of the green stuff,
then counted 11 drops to change to red. Well it did not change to red It was kinda clear to a yellow. I then
tested with a dip strip. It seamed to be about 100 ppm. Does anyone know if the borax or the shock could
have given these results with the test? It was changing red before I used the BBB method. Thanks

The colors are different, blue/yellow, when FC levels are very high (shocking) but the test still works.

thanks for the quick response. I closed my pool yesterday, hoping it will be good to go in the spring.
