We have the following:

Weepin water wall, 5 spa jets, 2 bubblers, 4 returns and 2 spray fans

The builder put in 2 pumps a jandy stealth 2HP and Jandy 1.5HP
We requested energy efficient and we ended up with single speed pumps.

How much savings is there in a 2spd pump versus single speed. The controller will not support the 2spd so we will have to move to the aqualink which was in the plans post build since it was so expensive through the builder.

What should we do push for the 2spd and pay the upcharge for the aqualink or just live with the 1 spd. I would think what I pay for the aqualink and 2spd would pay for itself over time in electrical savings.

The booster will run the waterfall and spray fans and the main pump will run the spa jets or the returns and bubblers(in low speed).

A two speed pump for your main circulation pump typically saves around 50% of the electricity used to circulate/filter if you can leave it on low all the time. SInce you have a spa on the same pump, you will want it on high any time the spa is on, so the savings will be lower. Still, it should easily pay for the upgrade over a couple of years.
