don't have numbers right now (will tomorrow), but I have noticed 3 locations of blue spots in my new gunite/white plaster pool. When going underwater to see the spots, they look like individual blue crystals, as if they were quartzite, but it shouldn't be as I did not have quartzite installed. any thoughts? I ahve tried the spot acid and trichlor treatments with no change. I have also tried one of those stain removers for the pole and waterproof sandpaper....no changes.

no, no copper products. we have well water, but have never had copper test positive, only iron.
Since you have put none in your pool, I doubt copper is the issue.
Blue is unusual enough that I also suspect it is not a staining issue.
Can you examine it closely to determine whether or not it is something erroneously imbedded in the plaster?

Exactly my thought...I spoke with the PB yesterday. They are going to come out to look as they couldn't figure it out either by describing it.
