Which of these steps (if any) would YOU buy?

I'm getting ever-closer to my purchase of a 21'x41' oval Doughboy w/ 54" walls. The last thing I'm hung up on are the steps - my seller-installer of choice only carries drop-in wedding cake steps for use with AG pools that have a deck - no ladder attachment available! We won't be able to afford a deck for a while. So, it looks like I might be hunting down my own ladder/wedding cake steps combo. Here are two of the options I've found:

1) http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toy...Step-Outside-Pool-Ladder/5751278/product.html This also seems to be known as the Lumi-o "Grand Entrance" steps (as opposed to Lumi-o's current "Royal Entrance" steps). I just love it when there are 42 different names for the exact same product.

Price for either is roughly equivalent - around $525, which includes shipping. My pool seller would credit me at least $500, I'm guessing.

If any of you have any opinions about these steps or anything similar, please speak up! (I need all the help I can get figuring this out!) :-D

How about building a small deck/landing platform with steps, maybe 4x8 feet and a set of steps and handrail going up to it. Material cost should be less than the steps you have listed then you can use the pool builder supplied steps, and have potentially safer entry platform area.

I would *love* a deck, even a small one. But building anything is out of our range of capabilities, so we'd have to pay someone to build it. (Some day, though... )

Plus, I'm expecting the pool seller/installer to knock off $500 from the quoted price of my pool, so my out-of-pocket for either of these steps would be negligible.
