Ortega Valve Repair

I have a 2" 3-way Ortega valve which diverts water for spa use. It has malfunctioned and I want to replace the Diverter and Seal which are readily available from pool supply places. How do remove the old diverter with the valve in place? Removing the entire valve and replacing it is an option I'd rather not explore at this time.

Thanks to anyone who gave my problem any thought - I have since solved the problem and removed the Diverter by screwing into the top of the Diverter and pulling on the screw with a pliers.
