I just opened the pool and tested....the calcium hardness has gone down to 280 from 450+ at the end of last season. We did have alot of snow/rain this winter and spring.
My question is.... should I raise the CH or just let it rise on it's own?

Thanks!

Low CH levels can pose a risk to plaster, possibly contributing to pitting or lowered plaster lifetime, depending on your other levels. Low CH can also contribute to metal stains on fiberglass and may contribute to shortening fiberglass gel coat lifetime.

Jason, thank you. Always thought the new plaster (now just 6 months old) would naturally leach into the water but I do have a 5 gallon bucket from leslie's to increase calcium in the water.

Will bring it slowly up to 300.
