Just went back through my pool manual and it says zippo about sitting on the top rail. Mine are 8" wide and made of resin. I don't have a problem with pool guests parking their little ones on it for a bit, but overall........are these top rails on a steel wall pool designed strong enough for an adult to plop down on? Should I post a sign when daughter has her friends over warning them not to sit on my top rail?
