Pool Deck Debris

This may sound like a dumb question, but, here goes. We have 2 dogs and we leave the screen doors on our pool enclosure open quite often so we get what someone would say and abnormal amount of debris on the deck.

My question is as follows.

Is it ok to use a smal blower to wisk the debris in the pool and let the skimmer and main drain take care of the excess crud?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

I'd rather use a shop vac to pick it up than to blow it into the pool but that's strictly a personal choice. I just hate to put trash into the pool on purpose.
