new poly pool being built in northern Ohio. I want to put 2" ridgid foam under the line and above the dirt. Even on the sloped walls. I will also spray foam the poly panels and suction/return lines prior to backfilling.

Has anyone tried this before and what were the results.

no. just to pevent heat loss. I insulated me below grade lower level of my home with spray foam applied directly to cinder block and the difference is night and day. a few bucks now might be worth it.
