Has anyone dealt with Aqua Super Center.com? We are needing to buy pump/filter and they are quite cheap.

Are they reputable?

Otherwise have been looking at Amazonl.com. Any thoughts on EBAY?

Can anyone recomend online companies?

Thanks!!!

Google rates Aqua SuperCenter as a 4.3, which to me means very mild caution. My favorite is Pool Supply World, which Google rates at 4.9. Of course Google only rates Amazon as a 4.4, and they are one of my favorite stores, so you can't completely depend on Google's store ratings.

EBay is not uniformly good, but their seller ratings are fairly reliable. You can look at the seller rating and get a fairly good idea of what you can expect. Personally I won't buy anything from someone rated below 95%. You also need to be careful to read about what you are getting and make sure it is what you think that it is.

You don't say what part of the country you are in, but I have had good luck with pool plaza which ships out of Dallas TX, as to ebay one of the few things I have been stung on was a pool pump claimed to be new from a closed down pool store, was dead and full of dead bugs, etc. Seller claims I switched out my dead pump for the one I bought, which I did not do, I went so far as to send him a photo showing my dead pump sitting next to the rusted dead pump he shipped to me, thinking that maybe someone had pulled a switch on him before and it was returned to his stock. On the other hand I did get a Hayward filter new in the box off ebay in January a couple of years ago at about 50% of the price the mail order shops were selling it at.

quit ebay after a friend sent a "new" Calloway driver in for warranty work and it was a fake. I've also learned from photography sites not to trust deals that seem too good to be true, thankfully not from personal experience. I know the gold standard sites, Adorama and B&H Photo, and if an online retailer is seriously undercutting them, they're not legit. Now I just need to learn the gold standard pool sites.

I bought my recent new pump on Amazon and paid $30 more to know I'll have solid service. Being a Prime customer helps.

I've not ordered from aquasupercenter, but I can back up JasonLion and say http://www.Poolsupplyworld.com is a good place to buy from. I've also bought from http://www.poolpartsonline.com and http://www.americanbestpoolsupply.com. Americanbest actually had the best prices I found when I was looking at big items (heater, control system, etc.). The other two were cheaper on the smaller items.

Edited to fix links.

Thanks for the recommendation... a little FYI though, we (http://www.poolpartsonline.com)really tweaked our pricing this winter on whole goods and added quite a bit more filters, pumps, cleaners, heaters etc...
