Why do you need to replace it?
How important is keeping your existing plumbing in place?
Are you wanting or needing a larger filter?

Having ask all that, I'd be looking at a larger filter.

Sorry, I meant I just the the replacement cartridge inside.

As you mentioned, down the road, I want to get a larger filter. This came with the pool and seems to work fine. But some day I would like to go to a 150 sq ft filter.

Check for a part number on the end of the cartridge.
Is this the Pentair clean and clear 100 filter?

OEM numbers R173215, 59054200
Filbur Number NFC0686
Unicel Number C-9410
Pleatco number PAP100

The generic brand of Dolphin filters may be manufactured by Pleatco.
Do you know a part number on the Dolphin filter?

When shopping for replacement cartridges, the 4 oz media filters will last longer than the standard 3 oz media.

MICROBAN worth it?

In South Florida, you probably operate your pool year round.
If you properly balance the water in your pool, there should be no problems with algae, mildew, etc inside your filter.

In areas of the country where the filter is removed from the pool and stored or simply not used for several months of the year, the microban can help to prevent the growth of mold, mildew, and should extend the life of the filter.
