Need a new filter

EDIT: I have a Pentair 100sq ft filter and I need to replace the inside cartridge filter. Do I get another pentair or a generic one made by Dolphin?

Any other brads to try?

How important is keeping your existing plumbing in place?
Are you wanting or needing a larger filter?

Having ask all that, I'd be looking at a larger filter.

Sorry, I meant I just the the replacement cartridge inside.

As you mentioned, down the road, I want to get a larger filter. This came with the pool and seems to work fine. But some day I would like to go to a 150 sq ft filter.

I will check the part number after it stops raining here. Yes, its a clean and clear. So Dolphin is a fine? Its $15 cheaper.

In South Florida, you probably operate your pool year round.
If you properly balance the water in your pool, there should be no problems with algae, mildew, etc inside your filter.

In areas of the country where the filter is removed from the pool and stored or simply not used for several months of the year, the microban can help to prevent the growth of mold, mildew, and should extend the life of the filter.
