how early can I safely open my pool? I opened my pool late last year and it hadnt been used in three years. It took forever and trial and error to get it right. So my pool wasn't "pretty" until almost the end of the season. I would like to avoid that this year!!

You can open the pool as soon as there won't be any more hard freezes. The earlier you open the pool the easier it is to take care of, but you do spend a little more on chemicals and electricity by opening early.

Hey passionsrlz. I plan on opening mine here in a couple weeks. Probably around Good Friday or so.
Hopefully by then all of our deep freezes are done with.
But being in the Ohio Valley, it's hard to tell. 40's yesterday, 70's this weekend.

This year i've been keeping up adding some chlorine throughout winter. The other day the water still looked clear.
Hopefully when I open I won't have to do too much.
