Which tests do we do before we close the pool for the winter :?: We are just going to put the solar cover on and the leaf net. Do we just check CYA level and shock for that number off of chem geeks list or should we do a final set of numbers and go from there. :?

The CYA level can change over the winter, so no need to worry too much about that except to know where to shock to. PH should be balanced before shocking. Anything else seriously wrong, which you would presumably already know about, should be taken care of. Otherwise don't worry about the other numbers.
