First numbers with new TF kit

Hey just got my kit and was amazed at how well it is laid out and how easy it is to use because of the directions. Well here goes. Also, Im hoping that this does not multiple post. Duraliegh told me how to fix that, but I forgot.

Here are the numbers:

FC 7.5
CC 0.0
TC 7.5
pH 7.5
T/A 120
CH 230
CYA 80
Temp 82 degrees

Those numbers look good.

I would probably bring the TA down a little, unless you are using trichlor sticks/tablets/pucks, but there is no rush on that.

Wow! Nice numbers and apparent nice work on the accuracy of your first set of tests. I think I asked you before but I'll do so again....How does your water look? My bet is it's crystal clear.

As Jason said, you might want to get your CYA down a little but it should do it by itself this winter with rainwater, etc. 30 - 50 seems to work well for most folks without an SWG. Temp - 82....perfect for swimming IMHO....your making our Canadian friends very jealous.

Is CC suposed to be zero? And how do I maintain this. I have been adding bleach and muriatic acid as per duraleigh's instructions.

Yes! If your CC = 0 then your pool has achieved ZEN.

FC = free chlorine (unused chlorine)
CC = Combined chlorine (used chlorine that has killed some nasties)
TC = Total Chlorine (FC+CC=TC)

anything up to 0.5 CC is ok, as long as your pool is clear.
